Up in Timamana, Tubod, Surigao del Norte, the weather just got a lot easier to read. Silangan Mindanao Mining Company Inc. (SMMCI) has installed two Davis Vantage Pro2 weather stations as part of its push toward safer, more informed operations.
From June 11–15, 2024, our technical support specialist Jaymar Anasco installed both stations and trained SMMCI's personnel to operate them, log data, and handle basic maintenance — full temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind, and rainfall readings, now in SMMCI's own hands.
