Storms don't wait for permission — but now Pototan doesn't have to wait for warning either. The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Pototan, Iloilo just added a brand-new set of eyes on the sky.
From November 27–29, 2024, a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station and WeatherLink console went live at MDRRMO's headquarters, made possible through a partnership with Lifelong Disaster Supplies Trading. Our technical support specialist Jaymar Anasco was on-site to install the system and train the team who'll be reading its data every single day.
From here on, MDRRMO Pototan can track:
- Temperature and humidity, for a real feel of local conditions
- Barometric pressure, an early clue that weather is about to turn
- Wind speed and direction, and rainfall, down to the last drop
That's real-time intelligence behind every evacuation call and every advisory. Disaster-ready starts with data-ready — if your community or company needs the same edge, APEXS is one call away.
