One weather station, one soil station, and a whole lot of new gear for the farmers of Batan, Aklan. On May 19, 2022, we installed a Davis weather station for the LGU of Batan, Aklan, a project made possible by the Rice Watch Action Network (RWAN).

Our technical support specialist Jaymar Anasco handled the setup, which pairs the new weather station with a soil moisture and temperature station, giving Batan's agriculture office a full picture of both sky and soil. RWAN also chipped in a new computer processor and a wide monitor, so the LGU can display live forecasts straight from their own data.

The station runs on a WeatherLink USB data logger, connected to a computer that stays on around the clock, uploading real-time readings to the WeatherLink Cloud — no manual downloads required.

From sky to soil, good data grows better decisions. If your municipality's agriculture office could use the same setup, APEXS is ready to help.
