A weather station that's been down for a year is still worth saving. In May 2018, we made a site visit to the San Gabriel, La Union LGU to inspect a weather station that had been malfunctioning for the past year — the culprit turned out to be an expired service plan.
With Sir Romel and his team from San Gabriel LGU guiding our technical support to the site, we diagnosed the issue in a single day and proposed the fix: renewing the service plan to bring the station fully back online.
A lapsed service plan is a surprisingly common (and surprisingly easy) fix. If your station's been quiet for a while, let's find out why, and get it talking again.
