Seven stations, four days, one plantation in Bukidnon, and a clever solution for keeping the power on in the middle of nowhere. From February 5th to 8th, 2018, Del Monte Philippines requested the installation of seven Davis weather stations across one of its Bukidnon plantations.

Our technical specialist Jaymar Anasco managed the full installation in the field, working closely with Del Monte's team through detailed planning and constant communication. Each station paired a Vantage Pro2 Plus with a WeatherLink USB data logger, and Jaymar led a full introduction training so the team knew exactly how to operate the equipment and gather accurate weather data.

Here's the clever part: in areas where LTE service is limited, keeping a console powered can be a real challenge. The solution was a solar-powered DC shelter box running off a 6V battery, keeping every station running reliably, no matter how remote the location.

Remote doesn't have to mean unreliable. If your site is off the beaten path, APEXS knows how to keep your station powered and talking.
