Dapitan LGU Invests in Comprehensive Weather Monitoring System

From July 22-27, 2024, the Dapitan LGU installed five Davis weather stations. These stations will help the city government monitor weather conditions in five different locations. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Dapitan is responsible for the equipment, having purchased the five Davis weather stations. The CDRRMO partnered with a third-party contractor to install early warning systems.

During the mentioned dates, our technical support specialist, Jaymar Anasco, was deployed to provide training and install the five Davis weather stations in five separate barangay locations. The installation was a success, thanks to the assistance of CDRRMO staff, the contractor, and other departments who contributed to the process.
